Avalanche vs. Yellow Snow
I've seen several threads about how the snowball arena is unbalanced, and most of them are focused on the players, or just turn into flame-fests.
The point I want to make is; do you think that Avalanche or Yellow Snow are overpowered, or do you think that they are balanced? Please also say why you think the way you do.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally, I think that Avalanche has a big advantage over yellow snow. The reason is that Avalanche causes AoE cripple, something that is very detrimental in the snowball arena.
Whereas yellow snow can remove a condition, but takes 2 seconds to do so (in which time you can easily be interupted) and then it causes Disease, a condition that always seems to end up on your own team more than the enemy.
But that's only my opinion.

I find avalanche is better because as you said, you can interrupt yellow snow and most new players don't even bother using yellow snow to take off the crippled.
It also lets you still have your hidden rock on you where as yellow snow replaces it.

Avalanche >>> Yellow snow, this is a huge imbalance in the game.
Yes yellow snow removed the cripple, but a 2 second activation time makes it a little silly while your running a pressent. I think that if the casting time for yellow snow was reduced to 3/4, that would make it completely fine, and the cripple from avalanche should be reduced to 5 secs.

I believe that one of the best, and smallest changes they could make would be to change Yellow Snow so that it causes Poison instead of Disease. That way, it won't always end up on your own team, just like how people can't cripple themselves with Avalanche.
Which brings up another idea. Make Avalanche cause cripple to all nearby CREATURES. This way it compensates for the fact that Yellow snow can Disease all creatures, not just foes.

Yeah they really should fix it if they are going to put importance into CC shards so much, maybe people will hate grenth from snowball arena and will go against him.

Grenths evil, he degrades the good teams so badly it gives inferior Dwayne teams a chance to win :P
No seriously yellow snow is useless:
The disadvantage of yellow snow is: no-one knows what disease is. I watched a teammate throw yellow snow at an enemy infect himself then run up along all of us infecting his whole team and the 1 enemy...
The benefit of yellow snow is it removes conditions however the casting time seems to be almost as long as the cripple duration.... dont try casting yellow snow while your the present carrier or youl be pelted to death before its finished.
My recommendation is reduce the casting time of yellow snow so its basically instant and increase the recharge to half of avalanches.

yellow snow has more utility than avalanche. player can already stall/limit the movement of other players by kding (or better kding him on ice). yellow snow removes daze (which makes your attacks and other defense spells prone to interrupt), cripple (gg avalanche) and helps you in offense too (disease is lovely and it's lovelier if you team up with a necro who knows what he's doin).
i think that yellow snow is better than avalanche.

Plus if you're a eley and on Dwya's team, you can cause auto-mega-ultra-uber-slowness, makeing you open to even a mega snowball, and that is just freakin easy to doge!
make cripple less of a problem and make Iceciles mroe of a problem, lol jk to the Iceciles.

The only problem is, you almost never end up with a full team of people who "know what their doing."
Most people don't even seem to realise that Yellow Snow removes a condition.

I do know that yellow snow removes condition.
The problem is that it takes too long to cast, and using it makes you attack spread desiase, wich is not good for anyone.
Avalanche is so much better.

IMHO, Yellow Snow should have been 1 second cast with a bit longer recharge.

Avalanche is easily, much, much better. They should change it NEXT year because they obviously won't this year.

In the KD heavy environment of the Snowball Arena a 2 Second Cast is an eternity, especially when you're almost permanently suffering from dazed and simply won't get it off when you need it. A much faster casting time would make it balanced though.

/agree
avalanche is rly alot stronger then yellow snow, just because the main thing of the snowball arena's is running presents... because of this cripple >> then anything else

Yesterday I got lucky and had a team that knew how to use yellow snow and we won about twenty games about twelve on grenths side and eight on dwaynas.

Well, I had a good number of wins just last night, we won as both sides. However, I noticed that two things happened:- We were mostly on Dwyana's side
- We had better players than our opponent
So really, you can see why we got so many wins.
